Seri33 Sports Betting: Football, Badminton, Esports and More

The sportsbook at Seri33 Malaysia covers the sports Malaysians follow most closely, from Premier League football and BWF badminton to esports tournaments. You can bet before a match starts or while it’s being played, using the same account and wallet you use for the rest of the site. This page walks through the sports on offer, the bet types for each one, how odds work, and how to place your first bet.
Sportsbooks at Seri33
Seri33 doesn’t run its own odds. Instead, it gives you access to several established sportsbooks through the Sport tab in the lobby. Each one has its own layout and its own selection of matches and markets, so it’s worth opening two or three to see which you prefer.
The sportsbooks in the lobby include M8BET, IBCBET and E1 Sport. M8BET and IBCBET are general sportsbooks with wide coverage of football and other major sports. E1 Sport focuses on esports, covering competitive games such as Dota 2, Counter Strike and Mobile Legends.
Because the odds come from different sportsbooks, the price for the same match can differ slightly between them. If you bet regularly, comparing two sportsbooks before placing a bigger bet is a simple habit that can get you a better price.
Sports you can bet on

| Sport | Popular markets |
|---|---|
| Football | Full time result, over/under, Asian handicap, both teams to score |
| Badminton | Match winner, handicap, total points |
| Esports | Match winner, map winner, first kill, total rounds |
| Basketball | Point spread, total points, moneyline, quarter betting |
| Tennis | Set winner, total sets, game handicap, live betting |
| Baseball | Run line, total runs, inning betting |
| Cricket | Match winner, top batsman, total runs |
Football
Football is the busiest part of the sportsbook. The English Premier League, Spanish La Liga and the UEFA Champions League draw the most interest, along with the Malaysia Super League and international tournaments when they come around.
The main markets are easy to learn. Full time result asks you to pick a home win, a draw or an away win after 90 minutes. Over/under is a bet on whether the total number of goals goes above or below a line such as 2.5. Both teams to score pays out if each side scores at least once, whoever wins. Asian handicap, the most popular market among Malaysian bettors, is explained in its own section below.
Badminton
Few countries follow badminton as closely as Malaysia, and the sportsbook reflects that. You can bet on BWF World Tour events, the World Championships and the Thomas and Uber Cups.
Match winner is the simplest bet: pick the player or pair you expect to win. Handicap betting gives the weaker side a head start in games or points, which makes uneven matches more interesting to bet on. Total points is a bet on whether the match produces more or fewer points than the line set by the sportsbook. Because badminton matches are short and momentum swings quickly, they also suit live betting well.
Esports
Esports betting covers major tournaments in games such as Dota 2, Counter Strike and Mobile Legends. The markets follow how each game is played. Match winner covers the whole series, while map winner lets you bet on a single map within it. First kill is a bet on which team scores the first elimination, and total rounds is a bet on whether a map runs longer or shorter than the line.
If you follow a particular game, esports can be a good fit, because your knowledge of teams, patches and map picks gives you an edge that casual bettors don’t have.
Other sports
Basketball covers the NBA and other leagues, with point spreads, totals, moneylines and quarter betting. Tennis offers set winner, total sets and game handicap markets, plus live betting during matches. Baseball and cricket round out the list, with run lines, inning bets and top batsman markets.
Asian handicap explained

Asian handicap removes the draw from a football match by giving one team a virtual head start. The stronger team starts behind, and the weaker team starts ahead, so both sides of the bet are closer to an even chance.
The most common lines work like this:
- Half goal line: If you back the favourite, they must win by at least one goal. If you back the underdog, your bet wins if they draw or win.
- One goal line: If you back the favourite and they win by exactly one goal, your stake is returned. Win by two or more and your bet wins; anything less and it loses.
- Quarter goal line: Your stake is split equally across the two nearest lines. For example, a quarter goal line between level and half a goal means half your stake goes on each. If the match is a draw, half your stake is returned and the other half is settled as a loss or a win, depending on which side you backed.
Once you’re comfortable with these three, every other handicap line is just a variation of them.
Understanding the odds

Odds tell you how much you win compared with your stake. Most sportsbooks let you change how odds are displayed in their settings. The two formats you’ll see most often are:
- Decimal odds show your total return per ringgit staked. A RM10 bet at 1.90 returns RM19 if it wins: your RM10 stake plus RM9 profit.
- Malay odds are popular in Malaysia and come as positive or negative numbers. Positive Malay odds, such as 0.90, show your profit per ringgit: a RM10 bet wins RM9. Negative Malay odds, such as minus 0.80, mean you risk less than your stake to win it: you stake RM10, only RM8 is taken from your balance, and a win pays RM10 profit.
Whichever format you use, lower odds mean a more likely outcome and a smaller payout, and higher odds mean a less likely outcome and a bigger payout.
How to place your first bet

- Log in or open a Seri33 account: Make sure your wallet has funds for the bet.
- Open the Sport tab in the lobby and choose a sportsbook.
- Pick a sport and a match: Use the filters to find today’s matches or a specific league.
- Choose a market and tap the odds: The selection is added to your bet slip.
- Enter your stake and check the potential return: Make sure the market and the odds are what you intended.
- Confirm the bet: Your open bets and settled results appear in the sportsbook’s betting history.
If you want to combine several selections into one bet, most sportsbooks offer a parlay (also called a mix parlay or accumulator). All selections must win for the parlay to pay out, which is why its odds are much higher than a single bet.
Live betting
Live betting lets you place bets while a match is in progress. The odds move with the game, so a team that concedes early may suddenly offer much better odds than it did before kick off. Live markets suit sports with frequent swings in momentum, such as badminton, tennis and basketball, as well as football matches where you want to see how both teams start before committing.
A few things are worth knowing before you try it. Odds change quickly, and the sportsbook may briefly suspend a market after a goal, a red card or a key point. If the odds change while your bet is being confirmed, you may be asked to accept the new price. A stable WiFi or 4G connection helps you avoid missing the price you wanted.
Betting on mobile
The sportsbooks run in your phone’s browser, so you don’t need to download anything. Bet slips, live odds and your betting history all fit a phone screen. Add Seri33 to your home screen for one tap access, especially if you like to follow matches and bet live while you watch.
Online betting in Malaysia: the numbers
Mobile betting is part of a wider shift. Research firm 6Wresearch estimates that the Malaysian gambling market has grown a little faster each year, from 2.3% in 2021 to 4.8% in 2025, and forecasts a compound annual growth rate of 5.4% from 2026 to 2032. The report names online platforms as the fastest growing part of the market and links that growth to wider smartphone and internet use, easier digital payments, and rising interest in sports and esports.

Deposits and withdrawals for sports betting
Sports betting uses the same wallet as the rest of the site. You can deposit from RM1 through online banking, DuitNow, FPX, Touch ‘n Go eWallet, GrabPay or Boost, and withdraw from RM25. DuitNow and eWallet payments usually take 3 to 5 minutes, while online banking and FPX usually take 5 to 12 minutes. Full details on deposit and withdrawal times are in our FAQ.
Bonuses and sports betting
Check the terms before you use a bonus on sports. Several Seri33 offers are limited to slot games: the VIP bonus, for example, can only be played on event slot games and doesn’t allow sports betting. Other offers, such as rebates of up to 6% on eligible bets, may include sports. Each offer on the promotions page lists the games it covers, so you’ll know before you claim whether it suits your sports betting.
Beyond the sportsbook
If you enjoy the pace of live sports, the live casino offers a similar feel, with real dealers running baccarat, roulette and sic bo tables in real time. It’s a good option between matches or when there’s nothing on that you want to bet on.
Responsible sports betting
Sports betting is most enjoyable when it stays a hobby. Set a weekly budget and keep to it, whatever happens with your bets. Avoid chasing losses by doubling your next stake, and don’t bet on a team just because it’s yours: loyalty is a poor guide to value. If you find yourself betting on matches you’d never normally watch, take a break. Support can close your account for as long as you need, and our responsible gambling page lists free, confidential support in Malaysia.
Seri33 sports betting FAQ
Which sports can I bet on at Seri33?
You can bet on football, badminton, esports, basketball, tennis, baseball and cricket. Football and badminton have the widest choice of matches and markets, while esports covers major tournaments in popular competitive games.
What is the easiest bet for beginners?
The match winner or full time result market is the simplest place to start. You only need to pick who wins, or a draw in football. Once you’re comfortable, over/under and Asian handicap add more ways to bet on the same match.
What does over/under 2.5 mean?
It’s a bet on the total number of goals in a football match. Over 2.5 wins if there are three or more goals, and under 2.5 wins if there are two or fewer. The half goal in the line means the bet can’t end in a draw.
Can I bet while a match is being played?
Yes. Live betting lets you place bets during a match, with odds that update as the game unfolds. Markets may pause briefly after big moments such as a goal or a red card, then reopen at new odds.
What is a parlay?
A parlay combines several selections into one bet. Every selection must win for the parlay to pay out, so the odds multiply together and the potential return is much higher than for a single bet. The risk is higher too, because one wrong pick loses the whole parlay.
Can I use my bonus on sports betting?
It depends on the offer. The VIP bonus and some free credit offers are limited to slot games, so they can’t be used on sports. Check the eligible games listed on each offer before you claim it.
Do I need a separate account for sports betting?
No. One Seri33 account and wallet works across the sportsbook, slots and live casino. You don’t need to transfer money between separate accounts to switch from one to another.
